Winter Protection for Pet Paws

Winter time is hard on our animals tender paws, sand and salt plus cold tempertures, cause our animals pads to crack and the salt burns them. So what can you do?
1. Buy pet booties and be sure to use them everytime you take your pet out. Oh your pet doesn't like the booties? Then try this:
2. Apply a healing salve to the bottom of their feet just as you exit the house. This will give a level of protection that should last through the walk. A well made salve will soak into your pets pads and leave no greasy residue on your floors.
